This is the README for the Pineas Plugin

It allows you to start/stop daemons for virtual CI Interfaces.
It also supports such virtual CI Modules for Common Interface
handling and channel/service assignment.

PLEASE, if you have only ONE Module in need for such a
CI Module virtualization, then put it in the SECOND slot
of you box, in case you use a Dreambox like dm7080, dm920
or seven, which have 2 such CI slots.

Keep in mind, that for empty slots you should NOT start
any virtualization of CI modules.

If you are using such virtualized CI Modules the following color
codes for the rectangles with the CI slot numer in the Pineas
Plugin show you their status:

Black: Virtualization is not installed
Green: Virtualization is enabled for automatic starting and is runnning
Yellow: Virtualization is enabled for automatic starting but is not running
Blue: Virtualization is disabled for automatic starting but is running
Red: Virtualization is disabled for automatic starting and is not running

The rectangles left from the CI Module slot will only be shown when
virtual CI Modules are used and are color coded like this:

Green: Live TV
Red: Recording
Blue: Streaming

The standard Common Interface (Assignment) Menu is found in DreamOS
at Settings menu in the Devices submenu, BUT it may be also reached
from Pineas Plugin via the Yellow and Blue buttons.

These menus work with virtualized Modules the same than with standard
Modules, but Pineas adds the functionality to Reset/Remove Module
Assignment on the CI Assigment menu with the yellow button.

Keep in mind, that unless you have properly assigned the channels
or provider(s) that the module should decrypt AND you switch to such a
channel the virtualized module will NOT operate correctly.

If a CI module allows decrypting of 2 channnels on the same transponder
you should change the settings in the CI module accordingly.

If your module supports encryption of transponders with high data rates
and/or decrypting of 2 channels on the same transponder it is very likely
that this will ONLY work when High Data Rate setting is enabled,
BUT keep in mind that on the dm525 (as this box relies on a low cost
Broadcom chip with limited througput capabilites), this setting
is simply NOT available.

Buttons on your remote for controlling daemons for controlling
of virtualized CI modules:

>> forward button:
       will enable the virtualization
to be started during booting of your Dreambox
<< backward button:
       will disable the virtualization
to be started during booting of your Dreambox
>||    play/pause button:
       will start the virtualization,
but only if it was enabled with >>
[] stop button:
       will stop the virtualization,
but only if it was enabled with >>
REC record button:
will enable/disable logging of virtual CI Modules
TEXT text button:
will show log of virtual CI modules or this README,
depending if the cursor is positioned on CI module or Setup entries
PVR pvr button will completely reset the virtual module
and force it to be re-initialized

These buttons are ONLY shown in the plugin, when such a daemon for
virtualized CI modules is installed.
Showing in Pineas Plugin if an assigned channel is decrypted via a CI module
will only work if virtual CI Modules are used!
