Hi Hope someone can help I need to reflash AMIKO MINI COMBO EXTRA but has no serial port How do you reflash it's stuck on boot Thanks |

The serial port is located in the "audio jack" or the "scart" ... you need a special cable ... |

Amiko Mini Combo Extra , I have one ! by hazard , have AV jack and is used for IR sensor and RS232 ... you need a 4 pole jack cable and on the other end ... DIB9 connector ... then a null modem cable ... and a USB-to-RS232 !!! That's all !  ... or ... call a friend witch already have all these ...

Hi I tried that with the cable I have for the Amiko mini combo and I'm using the toolbox for 3612 not sure if its the correct tool to use. What software should I be using all im getting on the box is the display showing on ON every now and then Thanks |

Sorry I have the FW loaded into the software but when I run the software and power on the box I'm not getting any hand shake. I have the cable pluged into the IR port as this is the only place the cable will fit. Thanks |

The cable is 1-to-1 !!! you need for connecting RS232 adapter an intermediate Null-Modem-Cable ... this one is crossing the transmiter and receiver wires ! |

Thanks for your help I have the cable that I use for the Amiko mini Combo and that works fine as there is a RS232 port on it, which is the same as the one in your picture. But there is no RS232 port on the Amiko combo Extra, so I tried to plug it into the IR port this does not work. The cable will not fit to any other port on the Amiko. Please help |

Bad news !!! Amiko Mini Combo Extra does not have RS232 !!! has a JTAG connector on the Mainboard !!! a specialized service is the only chance or ... use the warranty !!! just send it back ... |

Thanks for that I have done a few Jtaging on CCTV NVR's and on Xbox's Do you have a diagram and software needed to do this. I should be able to get one made up. Thanks |
