The question was already answered ! but for a new born ... ... EMU
means it can read and use a SoftCam.Key file ... to decode some channels ...
read the "Dictionary" ... a lot of interesting things about A3 are there ...

in A3 Dictionary thread at page 3, in Spark -> Enigma comparison table, there's a column that refer to a SPARK2S with KitKat Android OS, with Arm A9 cortex Quad Core and Mali 450 GPU, due on 2014.

What is that ?

Is an evolution of actual Amiko A3 ?

Is same product of A3 only with upgraded specs or its a big brother of actual A3, maybe with more than one S2 onboard card and even a T2 terrestrial card ?

There's some info about the availability/cost of that system ?

fi incarcate ca atare sau doar completate picoanele care lipsesc sau sunt

Picons convention

User can choose the following :

- Spark picons downloaded from server
- Enigma2 picons loaded from external support
- a mixt convention ...you can load Spark picons and you can
add or replace some of them with Enigma2 picons

In the internal /picons folder will reside both ...Spark and Enigma2
picons ... the application will load first Spark then overwrite with Enigma2
so on the screen you will see the last loaded ...Spark or Enigma2 !!!

am incarcat per satelit cate un set de picoane ! procedura cu picoane
Spark este echivalenta ...aplicatia incarca selectiv picoane pentru
toti satelitii pe care aveti canale !

- atentie ! utilizarea picoanelor incetineste reactia A3
- pentru marirea vitezei de reactie picoanele au fost scoase din bara
de informatii ... piconul nu mai trebuie incarcat deci se scurteaza timpul
de zapping
- utilizarea "list view" mult mai rapida decat "icon view"
- utilizarea unei liste de canale favorite scurta este mult mai rapida decat
a unei liste lungi de tip satelit

Frumusetea are pretul ei ! personal agreez "list view" ... liste scurte inseamna
viteza sporita ! non multa , sed multum ! ( wiki )

Too bad ... but there is always the favorites list icon view by green button !

I think is correct that they have reduced info function button only for EPG data ... but i have an request :

ON favorites list icon view [green button] and default (List view or Icon view):

- add automatic zap channel switch, simply with selection on list (of course leave possibility of on or off modality ... by adding set option on setting menu ...

Automatic zapp is very slow ! and it stresses the system ... big time ! really
you need to see selected channel ... elsewhere you don't need the list ... just
zapp channel up and down !

These are personal point of views ... and if so ... then it would not necessary to have the pip image on default scroll channel list !

Well Its getting better and faster every update!
Still sync problems for me (but much better). Ok was on 2.0.61 FW but there's other big problems.
And about channel list, personally I would like that OK button opens favorite list. Green button is just to small to find in dark room.

I installed the latest beta release. It feels quicker and more responsive.
I've had and still have an issue with some channels missing audio whatever what I do. eg : France 3, France 5 on Astra 19.2 E

Any clue?

@sympathy --- nothing to do from menu !!! PID values are OK ! but from
an unknown reason audio bitrate is ... zero ! I'll ask what can be done ...
the situation is the same for all channels in the transponder ( 12402 ) !

Doar o intrebare : cum se vad canalele TV prin satelit, comparativ cu cele prin cablu ?
Exceptie conditiile meteo, ploi, nori, etc.

Diferenta de esenta consta in SR ( symbol rate ) ... asta se traduce prin
finetea reprezentarii unui cadru ... mult mai mare pe satelit ... unde conditii
la limita inseamna 7000 Ksymb/s ... pe cablu conditii la limita inseamna 2000
Ksymb/s ... cu toata diferenta , pe cablu imaginea arata destul de bine pe
un televizor de dimensiuni medii ( 32" ) ... dar incepe sa sufere pe televizoarele
mari ( > 40" ). Principala diferenta vizibila este ca imaginea este mai ...
"moale" ... lipsesc detaliile fine , contururile nu sunt perfect delimitate ...
nu se vede firul ierbii si uneori nici frunza !
Cat despre "paraziti" pe imagine ... asa ceva nu exista in televiziunea
digitala ! decat ca urmare a unui defect de transmisie/receptie ...
In consideratiile de mai sus am avut in vedere doar canale HD !!! pentru
canalele SD situatia este si mai dramatica ... peste 32" nu prea merita sa
te uiti la ele ... pe cablu !

I just registered to say a big THANK YOU to mihaip. You have no idea how many people you help (all over the world) with all the support you provide here. Amiko should pay you for this :/

Anyway I also second performance suggestion to make to "OK" button to open favorites when watching TV. As the remote has no back-lighting, it is very hard to see the red button, always gets mixed up with volume.
Please send the massage to them. Its would be a welcome change together with a finally working EPG.

BTW any news on the EPG? The PVR function is completely useless without that function. Are they aware. Definitely hampering sales. I love the remote and media playing functions, but if I were to make a buy now, I would not go for the Amiko A3, but keep my 4 year old WD TV for media, and get a much cheaper (like Cryptobox 650 HD only 1/3 the price) and use that as a perfectly functioning setup box. Now I will wait a couple of months and if its not sorted out then I will sell this handicapped device and but something else.
It really disturbed me that companies today use paying customers to beta test their product for free. Leaving us with all the frustration after dishing out a big sum.
