the Octagon SF8008 SUPREME models, which bring with them a world first
– the M.2 interface for internal integration of M.2 hard drives.

The receiver with Dual OS meets all the requirements of a multimedia device
and now opens up even more possibilities. With the use of a new tuner and
demodulator, the already high quality was further improved. The receiver
offers a PVR recording function, time-shifted TV via internal M.2 HDD hard
drive or external USB stick. The receiver features Dual OS with E2 Linux and
Define OS.

Multa vorbarie pentru o singura noutate ... SSD intern cu magistrala M2.
Daca sunteti pasionati de PVR ... nu este deloc rau !

Noutatea ar fi Interfata (slot) M2 pentru harduri de tip M2 SSD. (aici este o
intreaga discutie deoarece sunt mai multe tipuri de M2 si ramane de vazut daca
toate sunt acceptate de aparat, ei scriu ca cele cu M KEY si PCIE NVME sunt
acceptate) poate si un wifi imbunatatit, WiFi bi-bande integrat (2,4/5 GHz) pana
la 1 200 Mbps (fata de 300 Mbps cat dadeau la primul model) si Bluetooth 5.1
(asta vine hard la pachet cu wifi).

Oricum Octagonul SF8008 este o scula f buna care isi merita pe deplin banii asa
ca unele imbunatatiri chiar si cu, costurile suplimentare (+- 20€) sunt bine venite.
Din pacate cipul nu permite adaugarea a inca 1Gb de RAM care ar fi fost chiar
buna, dar poate ii da prin cap vreunui turcan sa mestereasca ceva pe la SSD
ajutand putin memoria generala.

Mda ! i-ar fi prins bine 2 Gb RAM, altii au facut-o ! la Novaler Ultra de exemplu !
Drept sa va spun , pentru Enigma2 cei 2 Gb de RAM nu prea se simt ...



Am simtit dramatic trecerea de la 1 Gb RAM la 2 Gb RAM atunci cand am
trecut in Android de la Amiko A4 la Amiko A5 !!! A5 zbura ... in timp ce A4
se taraia ! in Android fara 2 Gb si cu o aplicatie DTV deasupra este cam dificil !
